At 6' 2", Diatchenko is a powerful presence both on screen and off. Equally adept at comedy or drama, leading man or "heavy," Diatchenko also possesses an unmatched talent for dialects. Add to that his well-earned reputation as a masterful, prize-winning classical guitarist and a former national Tae Kwon Do heavyweight champion and one has a broad over-view of the many layers of Dimitri Diatchenko. With a flawless Russian accent, Diatchenko has been quite popular on television, film and video games, appearing on such hit series as How I Met Your Mother, Sons of Anarchy, Perception, Criminal Minds, Burn Notice, Without a Trace and General Hospital and the films Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Get Smart, Remarkable Power and Burning Palms.

Diatchenko has done his share of voice-overs as well, including Family Guy and The Wild Thornberries as well as the voice of Evgeny Petrakov in the latest version of Ghost Recon. He's also the voice of Sandman in Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions and General Shatalov in the Ironman 2 video game. His latest big screen appearances have shifted to starring roles and heroic good guys. Chernobyl Diaries, from Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity), Clubhouse, an indie film, shot in Birmingham, Alabama will hit the film festival circuit in 2013 and Sony Studios', Company of Heroes, starring Dimitri, Tom Sizemore, Vinny Jones, Chad Collins and Melia Kreiling was released on DVD in early 2013. In Company of Heroes, Dimitri plays the pivotal role of Ivan Puzharski in a WWII action adventure story where he joins forces with the American and British allies to save the world from the Nazis. Being a first generation Ukrainian-American on his father's side, this was a dream role for his babushka, Valentina Voskubenko would have been proud to see.

A native of San Francisco, Dimitri Diatchenko attended Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts. After high school, he attended Stetson University in Deland, Florida where he was a scholarship music student, majoring in classical guitar. After completing the Bachelors program, he matriculated to Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida where he continued with his acting and music studies in the Masters program. His first acting experience was as the lead in the play, Foxfire, by Hume Cronin, where he played the country music star, Dillard Nations. Diatchenko continued to develop his acting skills both on stage and on camera in Florida-based projects from 1990 - 1996, while studying with Ken Stilson and George Judy. Some of these projects include the award-winning short films, Third on a Match, Used Cars and Goiter Boy. . In April of 1996, as Dimitri was graduating with his Masters degree from Florida State University, he landed a small role as a Navy Seal in Ridley Scott's Demi Moore starer G.I. Jane. After that break, Diatchenko moved out to Los Angeles and officially started his professional acting career. In addition to his acting, Diatchenko continues to perform as a master classical guitarist. As a soloist, he has four guitar CDs in release. His original composition for solo guitar, entitled, "Tango en Paraiso" is featured on the soundtrack for his film, Remarkable Power. Mel Bay Publications has published this piece in "Master Anthology of New Classic Guitar Solos, Vol. 1,".
